February 28, 2012 – Margaret’s Mayo Trip

There seems to be a trend going, with Margaret’s issues that she has had with the chemo she got 50% of the ‘full’ dose.  She has had 50% for the last few chemos also.  It is really affecting her, the biggest issue is her bowels and I do not plan to go into detail about it.  Let’s just say she is going #1 through #2. (a slight variation of a quote from my Mother)  Five to ten days after chemo her counts go into the toilet but so far they have come back up and are around normal after three weeks, just in time for her next cycle.  Good news is this is her last chemo so after three weeks they should just keep getting better.  We go back in about a month for a PET scan and another transplant checkup.  After that we should be able to stay away for a few months.  We both look forward to having some time off from our vacations in the wonderful state of Minnesota.
